We’re kick starting the festive season with our annual Christmas lights switch on and Night Market this Friday 2nd December.
Our towering Christmas tree and the merry lights that illuminate our market will be switched on by celebrated chef of Taberna Do Mercado - Nuno Mendes.
Hoxton Radio will be broadcasting live from the market from 12 noon with interviews and live performances from festive musicians. Hearts in Harmony are raising money for organisations associated with heart disease, and will be on stage after 6pm with the marvellous J's Dance Factory children's choir performing carols, and a blues band - Jeremiah Marques and The Blue Aces - playing live.
For some chill out festive cheer, Lululemon are hosting a market cinema on the Press London terrace, screening Elf at 7pm.
Nyetimber are parking their double decker 1968 Routemaster bus in the market surrounded by a winter garden, where they'll be serving the finest English sparkling wine. Prosecco Box will also be in the market serving mulled wine, cocktails and beers.
If you’re hungry, there’s a feast of street food to choose from, with the likes of Bleecker Street Burger, Poppies Fish and Chips, Al Chile, Pilpel, Indigo and Dirty Bagels staying open late. Or pop in to Blixen, Taberna Do Mercado, Wright Brothers or Androuet for a sit down banquet.
Plus we're keeping things toasty and seasonal at our tables with big heaters and board games, and there's a market full of late night stalls for those wanting to make a dent in their Christmas shopping.
