The Pin collection features the nails that can be found in the fishermen boats at the Cinque Terre in Liguria or in the old cascine (country houses) in Umbria.

In their essential shapes Sandra Holmes Jewellery also express the very essence of earth primal elements and aspects of life: earth and sky, fire and water, strength and softness, antique and contemporary, tradition and innovation, feminine and masculine (yin and yang), moon and sun, the endless shape of the circle…

Description
Not for the Faint Hearted

The focus of this collection stems from my interest in intersections between art and science. Visual research obtained through my own scientific exploration has been interwoven with my artistic understanding of the subject matter. As well as referencing common metaphors this group of objects also uncovers the truths of the heart.

Within the hidden worlds of this collection there are undiscovered beauty’s awaiting exploration. Various magnifying lenses allow the beholder to become the discoverer of the minutiae of each piece.

Name: Lili Design Ltd
Website: www.lili-design.com

Description
Lili Design creates BioBijoux™, a collection of bioplastic jewellery, cooked with food ingredients. Every piece is unique, bendable and skin-friendly.

“Food to wear” is the answer for sensitive skin. BioBijoux™ range has been developed around a fruit based formula, created by Lili, which is entirely adapted to skin, completely natural and biodegradable.
Bioplastic jewellery came out of long research into sustainable solutions to replace fuel based plastic. After months in the kitchen, mixing each ingredient to understand the chemical reaction of natural elements, Lili has developed an innovative material, based on corn, potato or even tapioca, which is unique.

No chemicals are used in the creation of Bioplastic jewellery, which means it will not last forever.  This natural composition makes it a perfect fit with real women’s attitude to fashion. Minds and fashions change, and most accessories end up in landfills, with lifespans of hundreds of years.  Biobijoux offers a solution to this waste. The jewellery is strong and resistant but will easily biodegrade in compost when you are finished with it.
