Old Spitalfields Market is firmly established as one of the leading markets and one of the crown jewels of East London.
Old Spitalfields Market, near Liverpool Street Station, is the perfect shopping destination. Open seven-days-per-week and set in splendid Victorian surroundings, there’s an impressive array of shops that draws in shoppers from all over the South East.
Whilst the market is usually open six days a week (except Saturdays), the busier market days are Thursday, Friday and Sunday. On Thursdays, the Antiques Market attracts tourists, collectors and keen shoppers who browse away to their heart’s content, on the hunt for their treasured items.
Friday, is a destination for clothes shoppers and art lovers alike. With such a variety of stalls to choose from, there really is something for everyone at this London market.
On the first and third Fridays of the month, a record fair joins the market, with an eclectic mix of different musical styles and artists on offer, including rare and collectable vinyl. This regular event is an absolute must for record collectors, whatever the genre. Who knows what may be buried somewhere in the record stacks… this combination of fashion, art and music make Fridays great day.
On Sundays, stallholders selling a little bit of everything have become more prominent. From food, to fashion, furniture to framed art, the Sunday market has something for all the family.
