Old Spitalsfields Market on a Thursday is an incredible eclectic mix of antiques & collectables with ceramics antiquarian books, vintage fashion & jewellery, retro, militaria, old records & much more under one roof . Best in London well worth a visit !!

I absolutely love this market. It is filled with a range of eclectic goods ranging from olives to original artwork. Be sure to come hungry because there are quite a few restaurants around in addition to the sandwich shops in the food section. Be sure to get the brownies from the bakery with the green sign (I forgot their name). At £2/each they are a little expensive but they are absolutely amazing. When I lived in London I loved coming here every weekend.

Old Spitalfields Market is interesting a fun. Go on a Sunday morning. Our kids loved it. Good cafe and fab food in the stalls. Also some great fashion. Hip.

Coming from a large metropolitan city, I have been to many flea markets and craft markets, but Spitalfields impressed me. There is a large variety of clothing and other items -- great woolens.

I fell upon Old Spitalfields Market purely by accident but felt like I had found a real treasure. There were plenty of independent designers with some really different clothes, gifts etc at reasonable prices that were hand made by the sellers. I was also delighted to see a great selection of original retro clothing again a good prices. Worth a trip if you like unusual & alternative clothing/gifts with a real originality that's increasingly harder to find these days. I think nearest tube is Liverpool St. Enjoy. xx

Spitalfields Market is an historic site in the heart of the East End of London that brings an average of as many vistors weekly as the Tate Modern.

The market comes to life on Sundays when you can find a massive variety of creative vendors selling from trendy T-shirts to home furniture, organic food to jewelry. Spitalfields Market is a great way to spend a Sunday Afternoon. All under a roof, you don't even have to worry about the weather.

The market is a site is located near Liverpool Street tube station and has been a center for public activity and small business commerce since it was founded in the late 17th century.

Originally as a fruit and vegetable market the market helped to define the character of the area. Today the fruit and veg traders have moved to a new site outside the city center and have made way for a creative market selling crafts, art works, clothing and furnishings to over 20,000 visitors every Sunday
